Our Organization
In the US, Edica-Garnett Partners is composed of a core group of former Arthur D. Little Partners and managers, as well as former operating company  executives. Each of the approximately 25 associates in our group have well over 15 years of experience. Our overseas partners are similarly experienced. The managing partners are Marc Kalton and David Hurwitz.
David Hurwitz, Managing Director

Mr. Hurwitz has over thirty-five years of industry and consulting experience. He focuses on corporate growth, strategic planning, M&A, strategy development & implementation, technology management and innovation, commercial development and customer management. He has industry expertise in specialty and fine chemicals, life sciences (i.e., pharma, pharma intermediates, biotech and diagnostics), formulated and engineered systems, polymers and the chemical value chain. Mr. Hurwitz is a former Arthur D. Little partner and has corporate experience at DeSoto, Inc. and Union Carbide.

 

Marc Kalton, Managing Director

Mr. Kalton has over thirty years of industry and consulting experience. He focuses on globalization, strategy and business development, including M&A and venture structuring. He has extensive North American, Asian and Latin American experience, including both B2B and B2C new business development in these regions. His industry experience encompasses chemicals & energy, life sciences, food safety diagnostics, retail, industrial products, automotive and Asian outsourcing of both manufactured products and services. Mr. Kalton is a former Arthur D. Little partner and Market Director for Asia-Pacific. His corporate experience was at Belco Petroleum and Union Carbide. He is on the Board of Directors of Isramco, Inc. and has previously served on Boards in both the US and India.

Tom Hamilton, Innovation Leader

Mr. Hamilton has over 35 years of industry and consulting experience with a focus on technology, innovation strategy and portfolio management. He is a recognized expert in technology and innovation planning, product development and rapid commercialization of new technologies. Over the years his range of activities has encompassed consumer and industrial products, as well as a broad range of related materials. He has headed-up packging innovation at International Paper and was a former Director of Technology and Innovation Management at Arthur D. Little, Inc.

 

Evan Smith, Operations Leader

Mr. Smith is an expert in organizational effectiveness and operational improvement. He focuses on operational restructuring - redefining core processes, structures and functions for greater  effectiveness - facilitating leadership change and customer retention programs. He has operating company experience in the aerospace, chemicals & energy, financial services industries and has consulted in these sectors, as well as industrial, consumer products, health, and life sciences industries. He has previously been VP of Re-Engineering and Business Analysis at Fleet Bank (now part of Bank of America) and headed Global Quality at Cabot Corporation.
